GOLDEN STATE TOUR TREKS ON: The Kyle Larson Racing team is set to continue the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series spring west coast swing this weekend with two nights of racing in Northern California. Carson Macedo will return to the site of his only World of Outlaws win Friday at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico for the Mini Gold Cup, followed by the FVP Platinum Battery Showdown at the Stockton Dirt Track on Saturday.

SILVER DOLLAR RECORD: In 2014, at the age of 18, Macedo picked up his first 410 winged sprint car and World of Outlaws win at Silver Dollar Speedway in Friday night’s portion of the Gold Cup Race of Champions. He has tallied four top-10 finishes with the World of Outlaws at the quarter-mile circuit along with a local points event win in Clyde Lamar’s famed 3c.

STOCKTON HISTORY: The Lemoore, Calif., native has five starts with the World of Outlaws at the Stockton Dirt Track and has never finished worse than 15th. Last year, he earned his career-best score with the Outlaws at the 3/8-mile track when he advanced from 10th to finish fourth. Macedo also wrapped up his King of the West Sprint Car Series Championship at the Stockton Dirt Track with a runner-up finish in November of 2015.

CALIFORNIA KID: “Silver Dollar Speedway is a place I always get excited about,” said Macedo. “It’s your typical California bullring and I think it really puts on some good racing. I have had some strong runs in the past at both tracks on tap this weekend and I know Joe, Heath, and Trey have prepared a great Chevy Accessories No. 2, so hopefully I can do my part and we can run up front this weekend.”
