WEST COAST WRAP UP: The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series is set to conclude the second west coast swing of the season this weekend. On Friday, Kyle Larson Racing and Carson Macedo are set to return to the Stockton (Calif.) Dirt Track for the second time this season followed up by the duo’s first trip to Calistoga (Calif.) Speedway on Saturday.

STOCKTON STATS: Macedo has two starts at the Stockton Dirt Track with the World of Outlaws. Earlier this season, he qualified 26th and finished sixth in his heat race. After transferring out of the Last Chance Showdown, Macedo climbed from 23rd to finish seventh in the feature event, earning the KSE Hard Charger award. His best finish at the 3/8-mile oval with the Outlaws came in 2018, where he scored a fourth-place finish.

WINE COUNTRY RETURN: The Lemoore, Calif., native has five starts at the scenic half-mile circuit in wine county. During his only winged start at Calistoga Speedway which came in 2015 with the King of the West Sprint Car Series, Macedo qualified eighth, won his heat race, finished fourth in the dash and ninth in the feature event. The following year, Macedo competed in both series at the Louie Vermeil Classic. He earned third- and fifth-place finishes with the USAC Western Midgets and a third-place effort followed up by a 15th place finish with the USAC/CRA non-wing sprint cars after getting taken out while leading with five laps remaining.

49ER GOLD RUSH CLASSIC RESULTS: Last night at Placerville (Calif.) Speedway, Macedo qualified third and won his heat race. After finishing second in the DIRTVision Fast Pass Dash, he earned a front row starting spot for the 40-lap feature. Macedo settled into second but challenged for the lead and took it away from Brad Sweet just before the halfway mark of the race. He maintained the lead through a couple of restarts but as the laps wound down, the leaders closed in on lapped traffic and Macedo relegated the top-spot with two laps remaining, settling for a runner-up finish.

LARSON PLACERVILLE RECAP: In a double duty attempt at Placerville Speedway, Larson qualified ninth with the World of Outlaws in the Silva Motorsports No. 57. After finishing sixth in his heat race, the Elk Grove, Calif., native started the 40-lap feature event from 18th and despite an early spin, he was able to make his way to the top-10, earning a seventh-place finish and the KSE Hard Charger Award. In his second start aboard his KLR 1k midget, Larson won his heat race and the 20-lap feature event.
