MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND: The World of Outlaws are set to compete in a trio of events this weekend. The Kyle Larson Racing team and Carson Macedo will kick off the triple-header with the much-anticipated Patriot Nationals, two nights of racing at The Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Friday and Saturday. The weekend will then be capped off with Lawrenceburg (Ind.) Speedway on Memorial Day.

TRACK STATS: Macedo has six starts at The Dirt Track at Charlotte, all during the World Finals over the past three seasons. His best score came in his first start with KLR where he qualified fifth in Flight 2 of time trials and finished second in his heat race, advancing him into the dash. The 22-year-old finished fourth in the second dash and went on to run eighth in the feature event. Monday will be Macedo’s first appearance at Lawrenceburg Speedway since 2016 where he finished 16th.

BRIDGEPORT RECAP: The World of Outlaws returned to Bridgeport Speedway in Swedesboro, N.J., this past Tuesday for the first time on the newly reconfigured track. Macedo qualified ninth and made a final corner, last lap pass for the final transfer spot into the DIRTVision Fast Pass Dash where he finished second. After starting on the outside of the front row, Macedo made a couple of bids for the lead before ultimately slipping back in lapped traffic and finishing fourth.

MACEDO QUOTE: “I feel like Bridgeport Speedway went really well,” said Macedo. “It’s a really racy place and reminded me a lot of tracks at home. I feel like Joe [Gaerte] and Trey [Bowman] made my Chevrolet Accessories, Tarlton and Son, Inc., Complete Parts and Equipment Soultions No. 2 really competitive. I am looking forward to getting to Charlotte and Lawrenceburg this weekend. The Dirt Track was a place we were really good at during World Finals last year and we had a lot of speed. I feel like if we can bring a good package and put ourselves in a good spot early in the night with time trials, we can contend for wins all three nights.”
