MOORESVILLE, N.C. (October 16, 2018) – The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series wrapped up a weekend in the Midwest on Sunday night. Friday night at Jacksonville (Ill.) Speedway was canceled as a result of rain but the rest of the weekend was completed as scheduled. Stewart earned a 12th-place finish Saturday at Terre Haute (Ind.) Action Track and an 11th-place finish at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on Sunday.

Saturday night at Terre Haute Action Track, Stewart qualified 22nd and finished fifth in his heat race after an early spin. He started 18th for the 30-lap Wabash Clash feature event and quickly moved into the top-15. The only caution of the race came out with one lap remaining and Stewart restarted 11th, before ultimately finishing 12th.

The following night, the Bixby, Okla., native qualified fourth in Flight A of time trials and finished fourth in Heat 2 at the famed Eldora Speedway. He started the 30-lap #LastCallForThemAll feature event from 15th but unfortunately slipped back as far as 21st on the start. By the halfway point of the main event, Stewart was back up to 18th. The caution was displayed on lap 21 and he restarted 16th with nine laps remaining. In the closing laps, the pilot of the Chevrolet Accessories No. 2 gained five more positions to finish 11th.

“It was nice to race close to home this weekend,” said Stewart. “We have found some speed in the slick, I just need to put together a full night. I can’t thank Heath [Moyle] and Jakob [Weaver] enough for all of their hard work. We’ve only got a handful of races left this season and I want to finish it off strong.”

The Kyle Larson Racing team will be back in action this coming Friday, October 19 at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., for the FVP Platinum Battery Shootout.
