MOORESVILLE, N.C. (September 16, 2019) – The second World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series’ west coast swing wrapped up this past Saturday night. Carson Macedo and his Kyle Larson Racing team scored an eighth-place finish and the KSE Hard Charger Award at the Stockton (Calif.) Dirt Track Friday night before earning a top-five finish at Calistoga (Calif.) Speedway on Saturday.

Friday night at the Stockton Dirt Track, Macedo qualified 13th and finished sixth in his heat race. After starting 16th on the grid for the 30-lap NOS Energy Drink Showdown, the Lemoore, Calif., native quickly settled inside the top 15. After a restart on lap 22, Macedo cracked the top-10 and in the closing laps was able to gain two more positions to earn an eighth-place finish and the KSE Hard Charger Award.

The following night, at the scenic Calistoga half-mile in wine country, Macedo qualified fourth and got a great start in his heat race to steal the lead on the opening lap. He picked up the win in Heat 1 to advance into the DIRTVision Fast Pass Dash, where he finished fifth. Macedo started the 25-lap Wine Country Outlaw Showdown at Calistoga Speedway from the inside of row three and finished fifth.

“We didn’t earn the finishes we necessarily wanted this past weekend,” said Macedo. “But two top-ten finishes aren’t bad. My guys gave me a great Chevy Accessories/ Tarlton and Son, Inc./ Complete Parts and Equipment No. 2 all weekend and I can’t thank them enough. The World of Outlaws season is winding down and we will take this momentum into Dodge City in hopes to finish the rest of the season off strong.”

The Kyle Larson Racing team will be back in action this Friday and Saturday for the Outlaw Boot Hill Showdown at Dodge City (Kan.) Raceway Park.
