MOORESVILLE, NC (July 29, 2019) – The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series wrapped up a weekend with the Pennsylvania Posse this past Saturday night at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Penn. Carson Macedo and his Kyle Larson Racing team tallied a 13th-place finish in Friday night’s portion of the Summer Nationals followed up with a top-10 score in Saturday’s finale.

Macedo started off the weekend at The Grove by qualifying 10th on Friday night. He went on to finish fourth in his heat race, earning the 14th starting position for the 25-lap feature event. The Lemoore, Calif., native ran just outside the top-10 before finishing 13th.

The following night, Macedo qualified 24th but was able to pick up two spots in his heat race to finish fourth, advancing him into the 30-lap $20,000-to-win Summer Nationals feature event. He quickly gained positions and ran just outside of the top-10 for most of the race. In the closing laps, Macedo advanced another position to earn a 10th-place finish.

“Williams Grove went okay for the most part,” said Macedo. “So far, it’s probably been one of the most difficult tracks for me, so just to come out with a couple decent runs was like a win to me. Joe, Trey and Tyrone did a great job. I know it’s probably a little frustrating for them because it’s not one of my best tracks, but they don’t get down and continue to work hard to get better.”

The Kyle Larson Racing team will be back in action this weekend at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Mo., kicking off one of the busiest weeks of the World of Outlaws’ season with the Ironman 55.
