MOORESVILLE, N.C. (September 23, 2019) – The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series wrapped up a doubleheader weekend in the Midwest. Carson Macedo and his Kyle Larson Racing team tallied two eighth-place finishes at Dodge City (Kan.) Raceway Park in the Outlaw Boot Hill Showdown.

In his first visit to Dodge City Raceway Park on Friday, Macedo kicked off the weekend by qualifying eighth, before finishing third in his heat race. He then started and finished eighth in the 25-lap Outlaw Boot Hill Showdown opening night feature event.

The following night, the Lemoore, Calif., native qualified 10th and advanced one position in his heat race to finish third. Macedo started the 30-lap feature event from the inside of the fourth row and scored another eighth-place finish.

“Dodge City was a bit of an average weekend for the No. 2 team,” said Macedo. “I felt like racing wise our car was pretty good both nights. The second night, I made some mistakes in the middle of the race that cost me a couple spots. But all in all, I feel like the biggest thing that we need to improve on is our qualifying efforts. It’s just so important to qualify good enough to get on that front row of the heat race. Going into the next few nights I think that’s something we will really be focused on.”

The Kyle Larson Racing team will be back in action this Wednesday night at Jacksonville (Ill.) Speedway.
