MOORESVILLE, N.C. (March 18, 2019) – Following their win at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, Calif., on Friday, the Kyle Larson Racing team traveled to the Stockton Dirt Track Saturday for the FVP Platinum Battery Showdown. After a slow start to the night, Carson Macedo was able to rebound and charge forward in the feature to score a top-10 finish.

Macedo started off the night at the Stockton Dirt Track by qualifying 26th, setting him back to start seventh in his heat race. He was able to advance to finish sixth, but missed the transfer spot by one position. The Lemoore, Calif., native started the Last Chance Showdown in sixth and gained three spots to finish third and transfer into the feature event.

The 22-year-old started the 30-lap FVP Platinum Battery Showdown from 23rd and quickly started to make his way toward the front. By Lap 7, Macedo had broken into the top-10. In the closing laps of the feature event, he maintained his spot in the top 10, ultimately finishing seventh.

“All in all, Stockton ended up being a pretty decent night for the KLR team,” said Macedo. “Joe [Gaerte], Heath [Moyle] and Trey [Bowman] worked really hard to help dig us out of a hole that I created for us in time trials. After starting 23rd in the feature it was great to make our way up to a respectable finish.”

The Kyle Larson Racing team is set to continue the west coast swing next weekend at Ocean Speedway in Watsonville, Calif., and Placerville (Calif.) Speedway.
