MOORESVILLE, N.C. (June 10, 2019) – The Kyle Larson Racing team wrapped up two nights in the Midwest with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series this past Saturday night. Carson Macedo earned a 14th-place finish at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, N.D., on Friday night followed up by a top-10 score Saturday at Granite City Speedway in Sauk, Rapids, Minn.

Friday night, Macedo qualified 15th and finished sixth in his heat race at his career-first visit to River Cities Speedway. After starting 18th in the 40-lap Northern Tour feature event, he slipped back several positions around lap 12. Within 10 laps, he was inside the top-15 where he was able to maintain and score a 14th-place finish.

The following night, Macedo qualified 12th at Granite City Speedway before finishing third in his heat race. He started ninth for the 35-lap feature event and finished eighth.

“This past weekend was a definitely a learning experience,” said Macedo. “I feel like we got better as a team both nights and that’s what I care about more than anything. You always look back as a driver and wish you could have done certain things different, but we will learn from our mistakes and head into Knoxville for a double header this weekend.”

The Kyle Larson Racing team and Macedo will be back in action this Friday and Saturday, June 14 and 15, for the Brownells Big Guns Bash at Knoxville [Iowa] Raceway.
