LARSON LOOKS TO DOUBLE DOWN IN SIN CITY

FVP PLATINUM BATTERY SHOWDOWN: With the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS) heading west, Kyle Larson will get the opportunity to make his first start of 2019 in the Silva Motorsports No. 57. In addition to Sunday’s Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway, the Elk Grove, Calif., native is set to compete in two nights of World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series action at the Dirt Track at Las Vegas.

VEGAS HISTORY:Larson will make his first return to the semi-banked, half-mile oval in six years. In 2013, he opened the two day show by qualifying 10th and finishing second in his heat race. After transferring into the dash, Larson claimed the third starting position for the 30-lap feature event where he led 10 laps before finishing third. The following night, Larson qualified ninth and finished third in his heat race. He started 15th in the 30-lap main event and climbed to a fifth-place finish, earning the KSE Hard Charger award for the night.
