MOORESVILLE, N.C. (October 28, 2019) – The World Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series wrapped up their final weekend of the season in Pennsylvania this past Saturday. The Kyle Larson Racing team and Carson Macedo scored a 13th-place finish Friday night at Port Royal Speedway before Saturday’s portion of the Nittany Showdown was canceled as a result of rain after qualifying.

Macedo kicked off the Nittany Showdown by qualifying 10th in the second flight of time trials Friday night at the Speed Palace. After starting fourth in Heat 4, he finished third, earning the final transfer spot to the main event. Macedo started the 30-lap feature from 14th and ran as high as 12th before finishing 13th.

Despite the World of Outlaws best attempt to beat the rain by moving up the start time on Saturday, the remaining night of the Nittany Showdown was canceled after qualifying.

“Friday night was just kind of average for us,” said Macedo. “I feel like lately we are just struggling a little bit to get qualified on the front row of a heat race. When you get on that front row it typically makes it a little easier to get in the dash and making these dashes with the Outlaws is so critical. Heading into Charlotte, I know we will be working on getting timed in to put ourselves in a better position.”

The Kyle Larson Racing team will be back in action Thursday, November 7 at the Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C. for the World of Outlaws World Finals.
