MORGAN CUP: The World of Outlaws continue their week in the Keystone State this weekend at the famed Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Penn. The double-header Morgan Cup will be the first of three prestigious weekends at the half-mile for Kyle Larson Racing and Carson Macedo. With last year’s rain-out, KLR and former driver, Shane Stewart, currently hold the Morgan Cup title.

MACEDO AT THE GROVE: The Lemoore, Calif., native has five starts at Williams Grove Speedway, a pair with the World of Outlaws and three with All Star Circuit of Champions. He finished 25th and 20th in last year’s National Open in Outlaw competition. His best finish of 13th came with the All Stars in the second feature during the Jim Gunn Memorial.

GETTYSBURG CLASH RECAP: Last night, the Kyle Larson Racing team competed at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Penn., for the Gettysburg Clash. Macedo qualified 13th in Flight 2 of time trials and went on to finish eighth in his heat race. After finishing seventh in the Last Chance Showdown, the team used a provisional to start the 35-lap feature from 25th. Macedo slipped back as far as 27th, but was able to climb to a 19th-place finish.

UP FOR THE CHALLENGE: “I’m really not sure what to say about last night,” said Macedo.” But we will take it as a learning experience to better ourselves for next time. As for Williams Grove, I’m excited for the weekend, despite it being a track that has been a bit of a challenge for me in the past. But I love a challenge and it’s a place I definitely would love to be good at and figure out. I know Joe and Trey will be working hard to get me comfortable and I just hope I can put together some good runs for them.”
