BACK IN THE MIDWEST: The Kyle Larson Racing team will head to the Midwest this weekend for two nights of racing with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series. On Friday, KLR will compete at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, N.D., followed up with Granite City Speedway in Sauk Rapids, Minn., on Saturday. Both venues will be new tracks for Carson Macedo.

NORTHERN TOUR STATS: Despite being a new track for the Lemoore, Calif., native, the Kyle Larson Racing team has competed at River Cities Speedway twice a season since 2015. In eight events, KLR and Shane Stewart tallied three top-fives and seven top-10s at the high-banked, 3/10-mile oval.

GRANITE CITY HISTORY: The Kyle Larson Racing team has had three previous starts at Granite City Speedway. In 2015, the team made their first trip to the semi-banked, 3/8-mile oval where Stewart earned a runner-up finish. The following year, Stewart qualified third, won his heat race, finished second in the dash en route to scoring the victory. The team’s most recent visit came in 2017 where Stewart gained seven positions in the feature event to finish eighth.

FALS RECAP: Tuesday night, the KLR team and Macedo competed at Fairbury (Ill.) American Legion Speedway with the World of Outlaws. Macedo timed in 10th quickest and finished third in his heat race. After starting 10th, he quickly made his way into the top-five before finishing fourth.
