ROYAL WEEKEND: Fresh off the 30th Annual Brad Doty Classic at Attica (Ohio) Raceway Park on Tuesday, the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series continues the Month of Money this weekend at the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio for one of the series’ crown jewel events. The huge three-race weekend consists of the Jokers Wild on Thursday, followed by the Knight Before the Kings Royal on Friday, with the coveted Kings Royal finale on Saturday.

2017 KINGS ROYAL: In last year’s Kings Royal, Shane Stewart earned a sixth-place finish in Thursday’s Joker’s Wild main event after starting 11th on the grid. The following night, he finished 16th in the Knight Before the Kings Royal. The Bixby, Okla., native transferred out of the Last Chance Showdown and advanced to a 15th-place finish in Saturday’s Kings Royal finale.

KING SHANE XXXII: Stewart claimed victory in the 2015 Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway. Stewart started 14th for the 40-lap feature event and wasted no time showing the speed of his No. 2 car. He moved into the top-10 during the opening 10 laps and was up to third by the halfway point of the race. After restarting on the front row with six laps to go, Stewart avoided incidents around him to take over the lead. After maintaining his position out front through a green-white-checkered finish, Stewart earned the massive $50,000 paycheck and was crowned King Shane XXXII.

STEWART BRAD DOTY CLASSIC RECAP: Tuesday night at Attica Raceway Park, Stewart was the fourth-fastest qualifier in Group B of time trials and won his heat race from the outside of the front row to transfer into the second dash. He started and finished fourth in the Priority Aviation Sears Dash to line up eighth in the feature event. Stewart raced as high as seventh before slipping back at the end of the 40-lap feature due to some brake issues and finished in the 10th-position.

LARSON BRAD DOTY CLASSIC RECAP: NASCAR star and KLR team owner, Kyle Larson, got back on the dirt Tuesday night at Attica Raceway Park for the 30th Annual Brad Doty Classic in the Silva Motorsports BRANDT/ Finley Farms/ Priority Aviation No. 57. He was the second-fastest qualifier in Group A of time trials and finished third in his heat race. After starting 15th on the grid, the Elk Grove, Calif., native advanced into the top-five by the halfway point of the 40-lap feature event and shortly after, he moved into the runner-up position. He was able to close in on the leader and eventual race winner, Donny Schatz, but was unable to make the pass and finished second.
