MIDWEST WEEKEND: Kyle Larson Racing remains in the Midwest for two nights of racing this weekend. After taking a year off, the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series returns to I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Mich., on Friday. Then on Saturday, they take on the Wilmot (Wisc.) Raceway.

RUMBLE IN MICHIGAN: In the three starts Shane Stewart has made at I-96 Speedway with KLR, he has finished no worse than sixth-place and has always advanced his starting position. In 2015, he started 12th and charged to a sixth-place finish. The following year, the Bixby, Okla., native started 15th and advanced 10 positions to finish fifth. In 2016, the most recent start at the 3/8-mile circuit, Stewart started sixth and advanced four spots to finish in the runner-up position, earning his best result at the track.

BADGER 40: In KLR’s first start at Wilmot Raceway in 2016, Stewart qualified ninth and finished third in his heat race to lock himself into the 40-lap feature event. He started ninth and raced as high as fifth before finishing in sixth-place. Last year, the pilot of the No. 2 qualified seventh, finished second in his heat race and fourth in the Craftsman Club Dash to earn a second row starting position for the main event. Stewart took the lead on Lap 30 and battled hard with eventual race winner, David Gravel, in the final 10 laps but ultimately finished in second.
