MIDWEST MATCH UPS: Kyle Larson Racing traveled back from the Arizona desert this week to invade the Midwest for two shows nights of competition. The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series is set to take on Jacksonville (Ill.) Speedway Friday night, followed up by Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind., on Saturday.

JACKSONVILLE PAST: Shane Stewart and KLR have one previous start at Jacksonville Speedway. In 2016, Stewart qualified second in Flight Two of Qualifying and won his heat race. He earned the third starting spot for the main event in the Craftsman Club Dash and was able to advance one position in the feature, earning a solid runner-up score. The Bixby, Okla., native also has two previous wins at the high-banked quarter-mile, both of which came while racing the Silva Motorsports No. 57 with KLR general manager Paul Silva turning the wrenches.

HAUBSTADT HISTORY: In three starts at Tri-State Speedway with Kyle Larson Racing, Stewart has earned one quick-time, two top-10s and one top-five finish. The team’s best result came last May, when the pilot of the No. 2 started 12th in the 40-lap feature and charged forward to finish in fourth-place, earning the KSE Hard Charger Award. Stewart also has one win at the half-mile with MOWA in June of 2013.

WEST COAST RESULTS: Despite Mother Nature raining on the World of Outlaws’ parade, canceling or postponing five of the 11 events on the west coast, KLR was able to score three top-fives and four top-10 finishes. The team headed into The Dirt Track at Las Vegas (Nev.) ranking fifth in the point standings and left Arizona last weekend sitting in third.

RACE INFORMATION: Tickets can be purchased for Jacksonville Speedway here and at Tri-State Speedway by calling 812-768-6025. If you are unable to make it to the track, both races will be live streamed on Dirtvision.

LOOKING AHEAD: Following Saturday night’s race at Tri-State Speedway, the KLR team will be back on track Friday, April 20 at Riverside International Speedway in West Memphis, Ark. Tickets are available for purchase here.

KLR OWNER: KLR is owned by NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series (NMECS) driver Kyle Larson. He will be competing at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway for the Food City 500. The Elk Grove, Calif., native has a strong track record at the half-mile with one pole and four top-fives in NMECS competition as well as two poles and six top-five scores in eight starts, three of which were runner-up finishes, in the NASCAR XFINIITY Series.

KLR TEAM: The Kyle Larson Racing team is led by general manager Paul Silva of Sacramento, Calif., and crew chief Lee Stauffer of York, Penn., with Heath Moyle of Middleburg, Penn., and Jakob Weaver of Coldwater, Mich.

KLR PARTNERS: Kyle Larson Racing would like to thank our partners BRANDT, ENEOS, DC Solar Solutions, GoPro Motorplex, and Howard Johnson Lima for being a part of our team.
