MOORESVILLE, N.C. (October 29, 2018) – The World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series competed at Port Royal (Penn.) Speedway this past Sunday afternoon after two nights had fell victim to rain. Kyle Larson Racing and Shane Stewart ended up tallying a top-10 finish in the prestigious 50-lap Tuscarora 50.

After being rained out for Friday night’s Nittany Showdown and postponing Saturday night’s Tuscarora 50, Stewart qualified 11th in Flight B of time trials Sunday afternoon. He went on to win Heat 5 to start fourth in the 50-lap feature event. Stewart ran within the top-five until just after the halfway point of the race and slipped back in the closing laps to finish eighth.

“I definitely would have liked to score a better finish last night,” said Stewart. “But a top-10 isn’t bad. We had a fast car but had some trouble turning once I got behind another competitor. I can’t thank Heath [Moyle] and Jakob [Weaver] for all of their hard work. We’ve got one big weekend left this season and I hope to have a good run for everyone at KLR.”

The Kyle Larson Racing team will be back in action this week starting Thursday, November 1 for the World of Outlaws World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, N.C.
